Let’s start this out the right way! 10 Year old Dickie Bob, a Jason Olmstead trainee, made what will almost certainly be his last appearance at Canterbury Park (Shakopee, MN) on Wednesday, June 18 in an Optional Claiming event at 250 yards. Dickie Bob drew post 8 and ran in the 8th race. Coincidence? I think not. Dickie Bob covered the 250 yards in 13.265 seconds with Ramiro Garcia in the pilot seat. Canterbury patrons hadn’t seen free money like this since the Dale Schenian (City Auto Glass) company parties of old.
